Another Chapter...

Once again, it's been a while since I've taken the time to update this special blog. The last time I posted was right before I landed my current full-time job. This doesn't mean that I'm too busy with work to cook, but I have forgotten to document, photograph and post any of the wonderful new recipes that I have learned throughout my four year hiatus.

In 2015, Carlos and I took a vacation in Europe and were privileged to have the opportunity to meet Yiayia in Istanbul (amazing city, btw)! We escorted her back home to New York / Connecticut for a long visit with the family. Since I was working during her last stay, I was only able to learn recipes during weekends and holidays, but I have so many downloaded in my memory and I'm hoping to take back to writing in my spare time to keep this blog alive!

Yiayia returned back to Greece in July of 2016. We miss her everyday, and as she grows older, I turn to this blog now to think of the lifetime of meals and memories I have with her in our Kouzina's. I turn to this blog to share my love for cooking and my love for learning new recipes. I turn to this blog to honor my Yiayia; for every post about food is an acknowledgement and accomplishment of just a smidgen of what she has taught me: "cooking is love made visible".

So, here's to another chapter of loving, laughing, eating and sharing!
